We aim to bring survivors together in a safe environment and to encourage them to talk to one another, enabling them a greater understanding that it was never their fault and they were never to blame and nothing they did caused the abuse to happen. Hearing other peoples stories stimulate your own memories and is essential when dealing with the shame, isolation and secrecy.

Many victims (now survivors) of middle age and above can't hold onto their jobs, due to not being able to interact with others. Some are still unable to live a normal life or hold onto relationships. Survivors may simply over-react where people seem to be like their abuser or where the feeling is the same as when the abuse happened. They then act as if in danger, when they are not, and consequently push people away.

Jig-Saw has a growing number of Adults coming "out in the open" and talking to others who have been physically, emotionally, mentally and above all sexually abused as children. As more and more people come forward they are breaking the silence and by sharing with other survivors they realise that they are not coping, due to what they were "taught" in childhood.
